Ohio's Missing Children Report Per L.E.A.D.S.
1999 Monthly Totals
The data used in this chart was derived from the Ohio Law Enforcement Automated Data System (L.E.A.D.S.). This information is maintained by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and is reported monthly to the Ohio Missing Children Clearinghouse. When missing person cases are reported to law enforcement agencies in Ohio, these agencies are required by law to enter the case in the L.E.A.D.S. online system using the terminal communications network. Once the case is in L.E.A.D.S., it is automatically reported to the National Crime Information Center (N.C.I.C.) in Washington, D.C. These information systems provide a valuable tool for law enforcement agencies in identifying and resolving missing person cases that come to their attention.
